Farmstay weekend with Nan and Pop

On the weekend me and the kids were lucky enough to go to a farmstay with Nan and Pop (Scott's mum and dad) It was up in the mountains of Maleny, Sunshine Coast. It was such beautiful, pristine country. Lovely fresh country air ........ Ahhhhhh!!!

We stayed up in one of the 3 bedroom cottages on the property, overlooking the valley, very cute. We got to wake up in the mornings and go and feed the animals and milk the cow, HOW COOL!!! The kids were super excited and Aaliyah really took to the farm life. She even looked the part stompin up and down the hills in her gumboots. She followed the farmer man everywhere he went asking a million questions, so cute. Aaliyah even got to milk the cow and was a pro at it, she loved it so much. That was her favourite thing of all trip. Pop even got in there and showed us how it was done, he got both hands going at once, go pop!!!

Jodeci and Luther didn't really take to feeding the animals till day 2. You could not stop Luther on the second morning he was right in there with all the animals, feeding the ducks, he went in to the sheeps paddock, even got in there with the goats. My farmer boy!!! Jj stayed at the top of the hill with nan, she was a bit grumpy :(

There was so much to do. They had a games room, swimming pool, tennis court, basketball court and loads of property to explore. The kids had an absolute ball. Pop cooked us a BBQ dinner one night and the other we just stayed in our cottage. We went off to a local park for a picnic lunch, even the rain couldn't stop us from having loads of fun, on went the raincoats and out came the umbrellas, kids thought it was fantastic.

We also got to go on a tractor ride down to the back paddock to feed the Heifer cows. Luther and i missed out on the first ride because he was a grumpy little shit and needed to have a sleep so we caught the next one in the morning. He was stomping all over the paddock bare foot and with not a care in the world, he loved it. He wasn't even scared of the big cows, that kid has no fear. The country side was so beautiful.

It was a great weekend. We all had a ball and we are so lucky that Nan and Pop could come with us to share in the fun. Hopefully next time Luther will be in a better mood, hey Nan and Pop!!! Lol

Aaliyah's class award

My big girl Aaliyah got an award on parade yesterday, how cool!! I am so proud of her. She got the award for being a 'great learner by always listening carefully and volunteering answers.' I wasn't able to go to the parade due to my boy being very sick so Scotty went and picked up Jodeci early from Kindy and off they went to cheer for Aaliyah when she got her award.

Jodeci was so very proud of her sister, cheering, yelling out to her and waving her little arm off. SO cute!! Aaliyah was so excited to see her daddy and sister at the parade.

Mummy and Jodeci's Big Trip to Sydney

On the weekend Me and Jodeci went for a trip to Sydney to visit Taronga Zoo and all the cuzzies. Jj was so excited to be getting on a plane. She was such a good girl and loved colouring in her book and eating yummy cheese and crackers. Aunty Trudy came to pick us up from the airport and that is when the fun started. We were off to pick up all the kids from school and then off to watch them play Tag. We had a great time catching up with Nan and Grandad. It was great to see them. Aunty and Uncle are still the same, happy, loving and loads of fun to be around.

Friday we went to Taronga Zoo. We were lucky enough to have Jazzy, Shaney and Rosie come with us. We jumped on a bus and then a ferry to get to the zoo so it was quite a little adventure for us. All Jj wanted to do in Sydney was go to the zoo, ride a bus and ride on a boat so we managed them all in one day. It is HUGE !!!! I have not been to the zoo for about 10 years. Jodeci was in heaven, she loved all the animals. The Giraffes being her favourite. We saw Gorillas, Seals, Penguins, Tigers, Lions, Elephants, Kangaroos, Tasmanian devils and Snakes just to name a few things. It was a massive day at the zoo and by the end of it Jj was grumpy and tired. She fell asleep on me on the ferry on the way back to Circular Quay. Lucky for my cuzzie Trudy to come and pick us up because it was raining and Jj was getting heavy!! Had a great family dinner that night then off to see the new edition to the family, baby Willow. Oh goodness, she is to damn cute and i was getting very clucky.

Saturday we had another adventure down south to go to Lil Jazzy's Tag tournament. It was great until the storm and hail came. Tired Jj + rain + mud + hail do not mix. So we had to cut that trip a little bit short and hot foot it home. We got to hang out with all the cuzzies and Jodeci just loved it. She was Bossing around all her older cuzzies, so funny to watch.

Sunday was a quiet day at home before we had to head back to Brissy. My cousin Darren and his family came over and spent the morning with us. It was great to see them all and again Jj loved it, more new cuzzies to play with. Jj was buggered by the time we got to the airport and my baby girl slept all the way home on the plane, she woke up in not such a good mood. Lucky Scotty and the kids where there to pick us up. My poor son was not well and just wanted Mummy cuddles.

So happy to be home BUT so grateful to be able to go and spend time with my Sydney family and get to see my Nan and Grandad. I love those guys so much. Everyones kids are growing up so fast. So i think the next trip will be in a few months time and it will be Aaliyah or Luther's turn to come. that is if i can convince Aaliyah to get on a plane!!!
